BE PART OF THE COMMITTING POETRY MOVEMENT -Support Ubuntuworks Today!

Make a donation to support Eric Sirotkin's Peacemaking work and expand our distribution and outreach.

Through Ubuntuwork's lectures, workshops and films, we hope to encourage all those who participate to develop or increase a commitment to helping maintain the rights of free speech guaranteed in the First Amendment of America’s Constitution and to find their creative voice!

Such a commitment may be manifested in the many approaches taken by people featured in the film Committing Poetry in Times of War; for example: peaceful assembly, poetry presentations, music, and many other patriotic stances motivated by the desire for creative peacemaking and relationship building. We at Ubuntuworks also perform outreach with schools, community groups and through the media to raise awareness and encourage youth creativity.

As you are certainly aware and as the film depicts, challenges to our civil liberties always present themselves.  In response to those challenges, the willingness to counter and question any attempts to suppress such liberties must be motivated by the openness to dialogue with others even when we disagree.

Your generous donation will enable the continuation of the dialogue you have witnessed in Committing Poetry in Times of War by promoting the film along with workshops featuring slam poetry,  participatory democracy and peacemaking throughout the world.

As long as we have the necessary funding, our company, Ubuntuworks, will continue to distribute the film to theatres, film festivals, and colleges/universities while arranging with local peace organizations, teachers, poetry/writing groups, along with other interested community entities and individuals to attend a screening or have Mr. Sirotkin speak at their institution.  Please join us in expanding  creative and activist communities and in building a more connected planet.
