Courtney Butler
Courtney Butler was a member of the Ram Slam Poetry Team and a student at Rio Rancho High School. Her poem, Revolution X, prompted the emailed response from the school's Military Laision. Though, no profanity or incitement to violence was ever found in her poem. The cascading events undertaken by the school's administration, which followed, resulted in the dismissal of the team's poetry coach and the disbanding of the team. Courtney is currently attending collage out of state and continues to write.
