SOBERNT
Sobernt is Khlari and Sasha Sirotkin, and Nick Mcdougal. Sobernt was founded in late 2002 in Albuquerque New Mexico. They moved to LA in 2004 and received formal training in guitar, percussion and sound engineering at Hollywood's famous Musicians Institute. Both Khlari and Sasha received training in Flamenco guitar at the University of New Mexico, which influenced their style. The trio has gone through several different names, genres, instruments and additional members, but it really all began in 1996 when Nick was 15, Khlari 13 and Sasha only 9, that the group began writing its unique original music together.
Since moving to LA they struggled to find a singer, but little did they know that the voice that fit their style was right there within them, as Sasha's voice matured and the Band had found its singer. Sasha, the ultimate drummer who sat in at clubs playing when he was 11, strapped on the guitar, took the mic and the rest is history. Coupled with the background vocals of Khlari and Nick, the band finally has the finely tuned sound that they had worked so hard to achieve for half of their life.
